March Break camps

From hip hop and tap to ballet and jazz, Pegasus Dance, at 361 Glebeholme Blvd., offers a dance/art camp for children during March Break. As well as exploring different kinds of dance, children will also spend time doing arts and crafts, and will play creative movement games. Call 416-469-2799 or visit Pegasus Dance.

LucSculpture School and Studios, at 663 Greenwood Ave., will also cater to children over the break, offering classes from lantern making and papier mache to drumming and theatre. Visit LucSculpture or call 416-461-7936.

S.P.A.C.E., the dance studio at 1324 Danforth Ave., will hold a March Break camp for kids ages 6 to 12. Extended daycare is available. Visit S.P.A.C.E. or call 416-850-1677.

For those parents who are looking for more casual diversions for their children over the break, the Danforth/Coxwell library has “Junk in the Attic” by Little Red Theatre on Tuesday, March 17, at 10:30am and a puppet show on Wednesday, March 18, at 2pm. Call 416-393-7783.

Volunteers still need for Danforth arts fest

The Danforth arts walk still has lots of opportunities for volunteers - photographers, writers, organizers, sewers, handy people, communicators - who want to help out with the festival planned for April. Anyone who wants to lend a hand and be part of our neighbourhood arts scene can visit Art of the Danforth or email Henry for more info.
