Greektown festival sounds tasty
| Greektown closes the street to cars once again this year - Aug. 6, 7 and 8 - for the Taste of the Danforth festival. Of course, Greek fare is on the menu but one can also find vendors offering dishes from other parts of the world.Traditional Greek dancers and singers will perform but there'll also be belly dancing, jazz and Latin music and a chance to participate in the Taste Mob Flash Dance. Athletic types can try out their tennis serves, visit the Maple Leafs' mobile dressing room or see if they're up to snuff at the Argos' football toss. More interactive events are featured this year including the Toronto Zoo's touch table, a craft activities tent and a zone run by Centre of Gravity Circus Training Studio where kids can try out a circus hoop. Visit Taste of the Danforth for more info. |
