According to the company website www.dobamboo.com, bamboo is a grass that regenerates naturally and can be grown without the use of pesticides. It can be harvested in just 3 to 5 years and does not require replanting due to its extensive root system. The bamboo plant is 100 per cent biodegradable, does not require heavy soil tilling or excessive water consumption. The natural environment is essentially left undisturbed.
