Local environmental group great resource for east-enders
The East Toronto Climate Action Group (ETCAG) addresses issues related to climate change and speaks to people who live in the east end. To raise awareness of environmental issues, they hold public meetings, run events, involve schools in recycling programs and generally try to educate us about these concerns.
They support the Kyoto Protocol and would like to see more energy conservation in homes and businesses, better public transit, the expansion of bike lanes and paths and more green spaces.
ETCAG has been recognized for making our part of the world more green and beautiful and been consulted by the media on issues close to our hearts.
